As Shift’s Operations and Communications Administrator, Tawny is responsible for driving the implementation of a range of essential communications and operations activities.
As Shift’s Operations and Communications Administrator, Tawny is responsible for driving the implementation of a range of essential communications and operations activities. This includes supporting the delivery of our communications strategy, program and organizational logistics, and general office and administrative functions.
Tawny brings over seven years of experience in communications and marketing roles with various organizations, including politicians, governmental agencies, nonprofits and advocacy organizations, and mid-size corporations. She previously worked as a communications consultant, handling social media, copywriting and brand management for her clients.
Tawny sat on the Board of Directors for the Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity from 2010-2013, and co-led operations for a relief and cleanup team after Hurricane Harvey through February 2018 in Houston. Additionally, she is an alumna of the New Leaders Council program, and volunteers as a National Digital Trainer as part of their annual Leadership Institute.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Tulsa, and is a US national.
