About the position
Playing an essential role in our small, dynamic team, this position will be responsible for leading human rights work with project partners from business, government and civil society. As an Advisor, you will work closely with senior Shift staff on engagements that will span the breadth of our work, with a focus on engaging business through our Business Learning Program to advance meaningful implementation of the UN Guiding Principles.
We will rely on you to be confident, curious and proactive. You will be able to identify and act on strategic opportunities to strengthen Shift’s impact within individual project relationships and beyond, to push the boundaries of the UNGPs and to drive better outcomes.
The post-holder will have a particular role in undertaking and supporting human rights impact assessments and stakeholder engagement processes.
About the position
Shift is seeking a detail-oriented, clear communicator who can support the development of stories of impact told through a variety of media for a variety of audience. The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for implementing a range of essential communications activities that support our day-to-day work at Shift such as updating the Shift website, managing social media accounts, editing reports, and executing outreach plans.
Based in our New York office, you will collaborate with Shift team members in the United States, Europe and Canada. This role requires a reliable, highly organized and detail-oriented individual who is self-motivated and enthusiastic about Shift’s mission. You will need to be capable of managing multiple tasks at once and are comfortable with a quick pace of work.
